Wires...too much wires around

I always tried to hide the wires, but there is something unique with them. They jump in my face. As you can see at left, they seen to be as an old sci-fi movie.
Using the HAL screensaver I feel exactly as Mr.Spock. (!)
There is no sense in the words above, but have I to make sense?

All computers in the house are connected in a local network and of course, there are wires all the way around.

Above, the old synth's rack. It was a Mackie 1604 and now is a 1604VLZ. The wires are well organized and not so visible now

All computers in the studio are connected by a wired and a WiFi network.
We'd love to see a world without wires.
